Red Ironbark is an Australian wood that cuts nicely and takes a naturally high polish because of its density and the presence of oils. Fine, interlocked grain also contributes to the nice finish. This wood is kiln dried and surfaced on two sides. A minor surface or end check may be present. Items titled “rustic” contain numerous surface checks. 1/16″ to 1/8″ bow may be present in boards over 36″. Woodworkers will enjoy the stunning finish and rich color of this exotic hardwood. This piece has a 1/4″ twist, checks, machine marks, and splits. Please see pictures for details.
