Figured Louro Preto Lumber

Louro Preto is a dense hardwood that is very workable. It glues well and takes a high natural finish. Ambrosia-like bug holes with colorful streaks are present in most cases. The color changes dramatically from very dark heartwood to the sapwood, leaving contrast that is highly desirable in woodworking projects. An occasional surface or end check may be present. 1/16″ to 1/8″ bow may be present in boards over 36″ in length. This beautiful lumber has been surfaced on two sides and kiln dried. This piece has planer skip, worm holes, and checks. Please see pictures for details.
