Kanista is a unique tropical species from Central America. The tree produces an egg-shaped fruit that is wonderful for the human immune system and vision. The wood is dense and the burl has beautiful grain patterns, figure, and eyes. Checks, inclusions, voids, and live edges may be present and are not considered defects. This rare hardwood burl is ideal for small, fine woodworking articles such as knives, pens, jewelry boxes, wood bowls, and more. This has been air drying for 5 years and is ready to use. This is a 2-piece set. The measurements above are for the shipping size. Please note the individual measurements. Both pieces are similar in size with the smallest piece measuring 3-1/16″ x 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″. One or both of these pieces has inclusions. Please see pictures for details.
